Fill the Gap Ministries was established in 1975 by Rev. Elbert Willis as the missions outreach of the church he pastored, with a commission to reach the world for Jesus Christ.
“I sought for a man among them that should… Stand in the gap before me for the land… Ezekiel 22:30 .
Today, Fill the Gap World Outreach Ministries has reached over 100 nations and continues the vision that Rev. Elbert Willis started by “Telling the Untold”, “Teaching the Untaught”, and “Training the Untrained”. With your support, over one million books have been published and given away throughout the world. These books have introduced God’s Word to many people for the first time. Letters continue to come in from across the globe, attesting to the work God has done in so many lives.

Rev. Elbert Willis

Reverend Elbert Willis was pastor of the Christian Center Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, and was a missionary and teacher to many nations across the world. Over the last 44 years of faithful ministry service, Pastor Willis authored 66 books which have been printed in numerous languages and spread throughout the World. He had sought to bring the Gospel to the nations even up to his last days. His most recent mission trip was in September 2008, in which he ministered to the people of Ukraine. Countless people across the world have been touched by his ministry and will one day walk the streets of gold with him.
On November 26, 2008, Reverend Willis passed away in Lafayette, La., with family at his side.

Please be in prayer for Fill The Ministries and the church Dr. Willis left behind after his passing. A month ago, his two daughters along with his wife, attempted to take over the church along with Fill the Gap Ministries with the intent of selling it all off for their profit. They filed false paperwork with the court system, ran everyone out, changed the locks to the buildings, and then began taking what they wanted. Many of the church's property was taken along with personal property that belonged to church members. The church has had to hire an attorney to get back control of the buildings and to file charges against the family members involved. So far, they have refused with the pleas of our attorney to return all items taken from the church, so it has left us no other alternative. They have shown total disregard for what Dr. Willis' life represented - total dedication to God and His Word. We ask for your prayers for the ministry and the family involved, that their hearts be changed, placing back in a position that God can use them for His glory. At this time, we have back control of the buildings, but much of our paperwork and equipment that is used for Fill the Gap has been taken, slowing us down in our efforts to continue, but has not and will not stop us. God's Word shall continue to go forth! Please keep us in your prayers!!! |
